White and Black Wedding Cake (2504)
We worked with bride and groom to design this wedding cake for their celebration at the Harold Pratt House in NYC. The cake was created with a nut-free cake recipe to accommodate guests at the wedding.
Some of the key elements of the cake were coordinated with the theme and decor of the wedding. The invitation included a city landscape in a black silhouette which we replicated along the cakes tiers.
The entire square cake was covered in white fondant and included an assortment of white, blush, and pink roses, hydrangeas and dahlias to match the wedding reception flowers.
Flavors and fillings included red velvet with lemon cream cheese, carrot with lemon cream cheese and chocolate with oreos and cream buttercream. The carrot cake was a special edition for the groom’s mom who loves to make carrot cake for the family.
