Wedding Cupcake Garden (318)
This seven tiered stand was perfect for this wedding – taking place on 7.7.07 at the Ritz Carlton in Battery Park. The two tier top cake featured a Swavorski crystal monogram, flowers and butterflies, all by Very Different Cakes – as well as a whole ‘garden’ of hand-made sugar roses and orchids. Each cupcake was adorned with a sugar rosebud.
We built the stand to resemble a tiered wedding cake – rather than our regular cupcake stands whose tiers are proportionally sloped. The bottom of the stand was finished with an Ivory satin bow and crystal flower center. The cupcakes were an assortment of vanilla and chocolate with vanilla and chocolate buttercream icing.
This separate two tier cake was created to replicate the top cake for the couple to cut, since the stand was a little too tall for any real cutting potential 🙂 !
We received this wonderful email from the bride’s father:
If a “grand slam home run” can be a universal term for par excellence, you are bestowed with that honor. We knew from the get go, your involvement would be the “iceing on the cake”.
Our guests marvelled.
Our guests loved it.
Our guests are stiil talking how great the cupcakes tasted.
The cakes for Jolie and Jon, ayayayayay, delicious. What more can I say. Ok, I will.
The hotel was so in awe. They recognized early on the professional nature of the direction you were heading. The maitre de’s were so impressed in how you mfgr the cupckae stand and spoke to you are a “one and only”.
Thank you so much. Thank you bringing to our daughter’s wedding a taste of distinction and class in your wedding cake and cupcakes. Thank you for allowing it to be a key piece of perfection. It means a lot.
