Topsy Turvy Bat Mitzvah Cake (1884)
This four-tiered topsy turvy cake was created for Amanda’s Bat Mitzvah. The color pallet was inspired by the brown and blue tones in the parties invitation. The top tier was covered in pearlized ivory with brown and blue polka dots. The second tier, covered in brown fondant is highlighted by a ivory fondant bow with long tails. The center of the bow is decorated with a sandy colored starfish. More polka dots and stripes decorate the remaining tiers.
Flavors & fillings included S’mores and chocolate with oreos and cream buttercream. The party was held at McLoone’s Pier House in Long Branch, NJ.
We received a wonderful letter from the Karen & Brett after the Mitzvah:
Dear Anne and Allison
I can’t thank you enough for the beautiful Bat Mitzvah cake that was designed for my daughter, Amanda. The cake coundn’t have been anymore “spot on”! Not to mention totally delicious. We will definitely be calling on you again for another two Bat Mitzvahs we have planned in the future.
The cake was so awesome that adults coundn’t get enough of it to eat and were looking for seconds and thirds! I myself had two slices!!
The Pink Cake Box was a total success!!
Thank you again,
Karen and Brett
Here’s another topsy turvy for a Bar Mitzvah with a different design. This fun Bar Mitzvah cake includes zebra print and lightening bolts on the top tier. On the middle tier we incorporated designs from the party’s invitation. And for the bottom tier we cut out gray dots and hollow circles. The cakes flavors included white cake with hazelnut filling, red velvet cake with cream cheese filling and chocolate cake with raspberry chambord.
