Natural Buttercream Cakes (2633)
Buttercream is back! Here’s a classic trio of buttercream cakes we created for separate events this past weekend. The slightly disheveled buttercream look gives the cakes a homemade and organic feel – like how my mother used to frost our cakes!
Starting from the left, the first cake is decorated with clusters of purple orchids and vertically pulled buttercream stripes on the first and third tiers. The middle tier is covered in smooth buttercream with round pearls at the base.
The next cake is beautiful in its simplicity and was created for a wedding cake delivered to the Liberty Warehouse in Brooklyn, NY. Each tier is covered in brushed horizontal buttercream stripes and inside the cake we baked vanilla rainbow sprinkle with vanilla buttercream.
The last cake was a really special one. It was for Mamma Khoobs birthday! The cake is covered with vertical buttercream stripes and atop is a pink and white tulip. Inside Mamma Khoob’s cake was almond cake with chocolate ganache and raspberry italian merignue.
