“Living in the Wild” Bat Mitzvah Cake (2342)
Amy’s daughter Julia celebrated her Bat Mitzvah this past weekend at The Loft at Wilshire Grand in West Orange, NJ. We collaborated with Amy to help design this “Living in the Wild” (i.e. Jungle theme) Bat Mitzvah cake for the celebration.
This is our first cake to incorporate all four popular animal prints – zebra print, tiger print, giraffe and leopard print. The top tier is covered in white fondant with black and white zebra print stripes. A scrolled hot pink “13” highlights the top tier.
The next tier on the topsy turvy cake is covered in dark tan fondant with brown giraffe print. A hot pink band with bow wraps around the base of this tier. The next tier is also covered in dark tan print but includes a tiger pattern print. Julia’s name, written in hot pink, is included on this tier against a black plaque backdrop.
Finally the last tier, covered in light tan fondant, includes a natural toned leopard print with another hot pink bow at the base of the tier.
Flavors and fillings included chocolate with vanilla buttercream, red velvet with vanilla buttercream, and vanilla with oreos and cream buttercream.
Congratulations Julia! We hope you enjoyed the cake and celebration!
Update: Amy left us this wonderful comment on Facebook. We are thrilled the cake was a success!
I just want to thank Nicole for all of her help with the design aspect of the cake. Julia was blown away by the cake. She was expecting a basic sheet cake and to her surprise she got much more than that. The different tiers also tasted amazing! Thank you for putting a huge smile on her face! Amy
