Let’s Eat Cake
I was visiting my ever-growing list of favorite blogs this evening and I came this great charity cake event that Bliss Events in Ohio is helping promote. The promotion follows the chain letter concept, so I figured I could help by posting about it here. Credit goes to Melissa Margarita-DiStefano from Master Piece Weddings for the great idea. (She is also the charity organizer.)
The event is a charity cake decorating competition called Let’s Eat Cake with all proceeds going to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – an incredible organization that’s dedicated to treating children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.
The competition will feature bakers from all over the United States. What’s unique about this competition is that the bakers are being asked to make enough cake for the general public, so they may judge the cakes as well. Winners will be announced in four categories- Best of Show, Most Beautiful & Creative Design, Tastiest Cake, and Crowd’s Favorite.
The goal is to raise $50,000 for this extremely worthy cause. (Donate here!) Please help spread the word about our goal, and our mission. If you can help financially, that’d be great, if you blogging about this right now…. your spreading the word – and that’s all we can ask for!
