Hand-Painted Wedding Cake (2747)
We were honored to work with 201 Bride magazine for a recent hand-painted wedding cakes shoot. From the article:
Whether your style is avant-grade or impressionistic, hand painted cakes can turn a simple sweet treat into a masterpiece
The journalist writing the article, Francesca Giordano Ferrara, did a wonderful job describing the cake:
A subtle palette of pastel hues delicately decorates this charming confection. Roses, succulents, dahlias, protea and ranunculus are hand-painted on smooth alabaster fondant in harmonious hues. Anne Heap, owner of Pink Cake Box, painted the blossoming tapestry using a mix of petal dust and vokda to create the “paint”. The crowning glory is transformed into a bouquet made of beribboned painted stems topped with blooming gum-paste wildflowers. each tier tempts with the flavor of pistachio cake filled with vanilla bean and raspberry Italian meringue buttercream.
