Charlotte’s Baptism Cake (2546)
We all know I love making cakes! It’s especially awesome when it’s for my friend Ann. This two tier cake was made for the baptism of Ann’s third born, Charlotte Yvonne. Ann wanted the cake to be feminine and sweet. We incorporated and floral accents to achieve the soft features of the cake.
White roses, hydrangea & blossoms with hints of pink decorate the christening cake. The bottom tier is decorated with plush pink fondant and white damask. The top includes Charlotte’s monogram along with a standing cross detailed with petite blossoms.
Flavors and fillings included pink velvet with lemon cream cheese and lemon poppy with raspberry chambord and vanilla italian meringue.
Here’s a video I shot at the bakery:
Ann was kind enough to leave us this comment on our facebook fan page:
It was the most beautiful christening cake ever! And it tasted even better than it looked. Thank you soooo much! Charlotte is a very lucky little girl!
Update: Here’s a larger version of Charlotte’s cake that was created for Daniella’s Christening celebration.
The 3 tier cake was inspired by Charlotte’s cake and includes the same blush pink and white color scheme along with clusters of flowers, polka dots and a pink cross at the top of the cake.
