Basketweave & Flower Wedding Cake (1843)
We combined two of our cakes to create this four tier basketweave & flower wedding cake. The first was Beverly’s 4 tier basketweave wedding cake which we used as a loose basis for the design. The other design we incorporated was inspired from another one of Beverly’s cakes that we created for her wedding shower.
At the top of the cake, we added 2 small yellow and orange butterflies and a large floral bunch. Flowers included white tulips, blush peonies, antique blue & green hydrangea, variegated ivy and yellow jasmine accent.
The second & final tiers were decorated in a basketweave pattern with additional flowers and butterflies. Each tier included a green fondant bond to accent each tier. Flavors and fillings included almond with raspberry chambord and almond buttercream, red velvet with raspberry chambord and lemon buttercream, pistachio with almond buttercream and vanilla with mimosa buttercream.

We have a four tier wedding and it’s a sort of mix of styles of two of our cakes. We included an assortment of peonies, tulips, hydrangea, jasmine & ivy with a basketweave pattern.

This was the cake from my wedding so I was thrilled to see it posted on here. The team at Pink Cake Box is amazing. Best cake I have ever eaten and we still to this day get compliments on it from pictures on Facebook. I’ve ordered other cakes from this bakery and have always been pleased.
