Tiki Birthday Cakes (2422)
We are just beginning to experience warmer weather here in New Jersey, so it’s appropriate to start thinking about fun and colorful cakes like these Tiki cakes!
Over the years we’ve done several different types of Luau themed cakes and I’ve included three of our favorite in this post. Our most recent tiki cake was created for Katie’s 5th birthday this past weekend.
As with all these cakes, we used bright colors including turquoise, bright pink purple, and orange. Other cake details include green bamboo at the base of each tier along with yellow, purple and orange hibiscus flowers. Three tiki faces line the center of the cake and the board reads “Happy Birthday Katie!”
Flavors and fillings included vanilla rainbow polka dot with strawberry buttercream and chocolate with oreos and cream buttercream.
Here are two additional Tiki cakes, both of which served as inspiration for Katie’s cake.
This cake includes bamboo sticks across the entire base tier as well as hibiscus flowers that were also used for Katie’s cake. More photos are available here.
This towering 5 tier tiki cake was created for Cameryn’s 7th birthday. More photos of this cake are available here.
Here’s a video I shot at the bakery:
